The NGO Bednet makes sure children and young people suffering an illness can still attend school, and they can still join the classroom from home. That way they are still included in classes and they can keep seeing their friends.
Pupils who are absent often and for long periods of time due to an illness, operation, accident or pregnancy can follow synchronous internet education.
Bednet connects the sick child to their own class live through the internet: the class sees the ‘Bednetter’ on a computer screen in the classroom.
Using a camera which the child can operate at home, the child can follow classes and/or talk to their teacher and classmates.
This equipment is very expensive for each child. This is why I donate a part of our proceeds to Bednet.
